Certainly has. about 1 foot+ above road level. heavy Lorries only, Please, don't anyone try Using this Spillway especially on a bike. The River is Gushing

They are preparing to Evacuate if it raises another 2 feet

My Wife took the long way round south from the city and went up to Hypermart and into Junob that way!

I was thinking more that it'd been washed away rather than just having water running over the top of it.

Is the spillway over the river still intact then?

Well i walked the dogs that way and the water is still over the Spillway and the City Engineers are there so I Guess we can expect a damage report some time this Morning but as usual there are Idiots still crossing it although there are Road Closed Signs. Like many things here, it will take a Death before anyone realizes the danger.
I Don't think I shall pass that way again today so I Guess we will have to go by the News, If I hear from Local eye witnesses I will post.

Now we have the really Stupid bit, The City Engineers are sending all the Solo Motor bikes up to the Wooden FOOTBRIDGE that Connects Northern Junob and Batinguel

That Bridge was only temporary from Sendong's Destruction of the Previous. It was already Unstable to Foot Passengers. Goodness knows what will happen after 00's of bikes have used it. Trikes are going up there to drop off Passengers to get Trikes on the other Side.
The Bridge is Starting to sway. I smell a big Accident waiting to happen.
This was meant to be a Footbridge and is only a Wood Suspension type, With the amount of rain we get up at that area i can't honestly see the bridge Stays Holding for any amount of time. The Wood is showing Signs of Rotting. The Road is a Quagmire from Trikes and Bikes that will still not slow down.
this wonderful Mayor? needs to get his backside up there and see not all his Emergency plans are working.
Then the local population and those using the Area as an Alternative are not helping at all. Are all these journeys necessary, There are Plenty of Sorry Sorrys in the Area
Hypermart area is not affected but of course it is further away. each side of the River has Ample shops and amenities, Why must people always Need to cross that River when there is no Need. A little though is all that is needed

    JP

Addition Edit. my neighbour has just told me that the Spillway is passable now but with extreme care. Very Slimy Mud all around. Anyone using this Spillway should take great care.
Please be safe my friends out there.

(with bold and spelling correction added without changing the meaning)

Jack you have been around her long enough to know that "thought", planning foresight, or budgeting (counting in local terms) are not really part of this culture.

JP: I'm sure there are many that have jobs in other parts of town so there probably is a need. They aren't all lucky enough to be unemployed like most of the expats here.

But all ways go through flood prone areas.
