I'm trying to use my wife's mobile phone to reply here, hence the incomplete reply above, god give me strength this CP does not grow wings and fly into the river! x-(

The strange part with the Baggage Handler who robbed me, he had a conscience and left me some pesos, but I do not think enough to get me to my next pay. But I did come here to live as and experience life as the Filipino live, "Live and Learn" na :/

 

One question I would be asking. Who knew what was in the carry on baggage that was mistakenly put in as "Luggage"

Philippine money notes or any other money notes in the Philippines have a grubby scent that can be smelt by scumbags that prey on mistake makers sending cash by post or cash put in other places.

No one knew mate, it was a last minute decision to keep a small amount in my Wallet & put 30k inside the packet it was handed to me in, inside of another envelope, inside of another envelope, inside my Flight Centre folder, inside a plastic clip sleeve, inside the zipped top of my carry on case which was padlocked using locks aimed at those who fly to avoid picked locks... $50+ AUD spent well... NOT!


It was by accident it was booked in as Luggage because I also carried a small shoulder bag & the helper assumed my Carry on Bag was my Luggage, I never once let on as soon as I realised it was checked in, in fear of raising suspicion, but it was taken before the Bag even hit the Plane, of that I'm sure! Maybe next time I lose the parenoia of getting robbed & keep it in my pocket...

But a Thief with a conscience?? They took 13k but left me with 17k to get me thru to January, they could have cleaned me out completely I suppose, so surely it can only start getting better "Live & Learn" huh?

 

Hi Brian. Sorry for your loss. I am sure you have racked your brains from the time you collected and separated that cash to the time you realised your loss. seems strange to me that 13 taken and 17 left, was this exact amounts ? Also within envelopes and folders ? Nothing else taken ? Take care whatever and best luck..
