They only reported 30 million extra. I'd bet there was more than that.

Please send some of that leftover money to Bacong. We must have the shabbiest looking town in Negros.
Wait I take that back, I've been to Santa Catalina.

Speaking of roads, I took a run up to Tierra Alta from town and you have to see that road to believe it. :( Much worse now even after it was reported as repaired and sealed a few months ago. Potholes, you can lose a car in, corrugations that rattle the teeth, and shake suspension to pieces. Scary:eek:

I blew out two fork seals on my CBR on that road. It's a mess of a road.

No doubt many roads here could use fixing. I don't think 31 million would even scratch the problem. The Bacong Valencia highway was almost complete but they had to stop a meter short where the concrete would have met the asphalt, leaving a breeding ground for potholes. The asphalt is also deteriorating at the edge of the rift between concrete and asphalt, widening the gap.

The road I currently live on in Sibulan is 1/3 asphalt and bad enough that I wish it were returned to dirt. I do occasionally go offroad because it's smoother than the pavement. It's no worse though than in the small Texas town of Alvarado where they place patches on patches and the road looks like a quilt made from shredded fabric where the county road ends and the city begins.

You would have to be kidding, that any where in the USA would be as bad or worse than In Phil,? I have been to the USA and the roads I found there have been very acceptable and in some cases superior to OZ. There are no roads in Oz, that are nearly as bad as the roads in Phil.
