Well I've done my share at kamalig.and the conclusion is the daytime staff is just not trained or even attentive enough to wait tables.the night shift is better.they have live music in evenings, but its not kick @ss like it was a few years ago.good grill .good food,I can say you can't buy a mixed drink here you have to buy the whole bottle!kind of dumb for the fella who just wants a simple glass of rum and coke! Now here we go with the bad,the cr ,no running water to urinals, smells like a urinal festival in cr .run a waterline please?to flush, but always a full crowd after 8 pm

It kinda started off with the bad. It might help out to put a little structure to the reviews so we can all follow what you are saying and be able to better see the pros and cons. An example of how a review could be done is as follows:

    The Good:
    • Press the button with the three dots with lines next them to make a list.
    • Press enter to add another line.
    • Enter again for yet another line.
Press enter twice to go back to regular indentation.

    The bad:
    1. Or we can do numbered lines by pressing the button with the lines next to the tiny number.
    2. Press enter to add another numbered point.
    3. They automatically count up as you press enter and go to the next line.
Enter twice again to exit the numbered bullet points.

I'm ok with the reviews but they seem a bit scatter brained. They have no structure and consistency. (Maybe this is just something the military has drilled into my head. Maybe not as most review websites are structured in such a way.)

Do not know if it is possible to have a form to fill out for the reviews so the feedback information would be a little more organized and compariable. I think it is good that someone is reviewing these places, and looking at the kitchens too. It does seem a little hit and miss as some kitchen are scrutinized and others are not mentioned, particularly for cleanness. I have been in one of the kitchens reviewed and they may be great by Filipino standards but to bring them up to first world countries is a big reach.

A friend of mine that has been visiting here recently came down with hepatitis A. He did not have shots for hepatitis A prior to coming here. The result was a week in the hospital during his vacation and a few weeks before of questioning his health, and what the hell was happening to him

We should all remember keep our shot programs up to date. and i am not referring to tequila and rum here to avoid getting sick. .

I'm not asking you to change what you say, just the way in which you say it (or write it). A bit of constructive criticism was all. You realize you are offering a service here (by providing your experiences with bars and restaurants.....albeit an unpaid service ). Much the same as you are critiquing their service, I am critiquing yours. I see a way it could be improved for the better enjoyment of everyone else. It's an opinion, take it or leave it.

Sure, it's possible. The Showcase section was specifically designed for that. Work has kept me from adding all these places to the list. If they were already there I would be forcing the reviews to be put there. I like the reviews to, I would just like a bit more structure to them.

Nice to see the food critic was able to see kitchens and crs, talked about service, how about the menu? Any great meals to recommend? More information would be more of a real review, just my opinion. Eg. Mifune on Santa Catalina across from foodnet offers excellent service as well as friendly staff, ac and kitchen is in view. Beef teppanyaki is always excellent and large portion at a modest price. Love the cabbage salad served before the meal. Ahi tuna is wonderful too.

I took my extended family to Kamilig this Christmas Eve. Pre booked and reserved a table for eleven of us, I don't particularly like Filipino food, but it was their treat. We ordered a set meal for less than P 2000 including soft drinks, plus my Red horse.

Yeah CR stank, no running water, but their service was great, fast and attentive. I would recommend taking a large family, specially if they are Filipinos.

I celebrated a couple of birthday parties virtually back to back last month and found the band/music at Kamalig very good. Live music and bands making the rounds of different venues, your milage may vary.
