G'day mate,,,, nice intro too. Welcome to the crew. A group of us once went to that resort your staying at(nice place too) to watch the Melbourne cup, question, do they still have the Australia channel(or whatever it is now) there now, or are they with fil products only? I guess a lot of us will be looking for somewhere to watch any aussie footy we can get when the new season starts soon.
I have lived in Coolangatta/Tweed of quite a few years, mostly on the nsw side, so technically I'm a cockroach, but also have a soft spot for the cane toads too. And go the swannies too.

G'day mates again............yes still think they have the Australian channel here but the Aussie guy who owns here died about 12 months ago and his wife Susie still carry's on here, my wife and I rent a 2 storey cabin with really big bed up stairs, cable tv, wi-fi, pool, furnished, fridge, gas cooker, paper back novel library, change of bedding and towels when ever we like and electricity for 12000p a month, it is ok here by the beach.

We were renting a motorcycle but next week hopefully are getting our Suzuki mini van once registration has been transferred to our name, then we will be more mobile and spend time looking round for other long term accommodation.

 

when and where do you all get together..??

 

Its not a club just a group, we had 2013 melbourne cup at the Drill Shack, we have gone to many sights around town, dauin, bacong ect if some one finds a new place we try it , maybe we can make the Drill Shack our next meet if they can handle 15 or 20 of us . ill ask the others I dont know how to send a private message on this sight but can give you a cel number if you want

Yes I believe the Drill shack could accommodate 20 -25 people, but may need to book in advance, the food is still good hear and I believe the beer is quite cold as well, the pool might be a bit of a problem as it is filled and cleaned every week from the ocean , depending on the weather as to when it gets filled each time.
