Has anyone been to Cambodia or Vietnam within the last year and used a local travel agent to get the visas and tickets successfully? Orientwind near hayahay was one used and liked and I have used them 4 years ago. Planning on Angkor Wat week and NhaTrang a few weeks. Best places to fly to and any travel advice would be appreciated. Advance Thank you
Patty--Angkor Wat is magnificent---enjoy!!! Used the travel agent beside the BOI, but they neglected to mention that a visa was needed. A visa can be obtained at the airport, but it is a time-consuming and cumbersome process. Word of caution---be sure that you have an airline ticket to prove you are leaving the Philippines after you return, otherwise, you will have to purchase a"throw-away" at the airport in order to return to the P.I.---saw a three scroungy looking young guys who had to do so when I went last April.
