30 Filipino police commandos killed in clash with rebels - Yahoo News Philippines

It really shows how weak your government military is when you call a cease fire with rebels.

The weakness in this case comes from the top, El Presidente, to be sure. I recall the fiasco in Zamboanga City back in 2012, that the Phil Government made sure did not get publicised to the world, in the fear it would affect tourism and investment I suspect. :cautious: Many hostages were taken by rebels, and some killed, and some civilian bystanders were also killed and injured. Many homes were torched, and thousands homeless for the next 18 months. Then the Govt negotiated with the rebels - :rolleyes:and accepted some of them into the Phil army - what utter BS -

So do you think the strategy with the Chinese will be: "We will have a cease fire if you do not kill us all first?. I hope the Philippines does not not forget to call cease fire times when there are holidays here also. It make Christmas so much more peaceful when you are not ducking bullets. :o o:

The Leader of the Zamboanga City back in 2014, Chairman Prof. Nur Misuari still can not be found, although his press conference get published once in a while. Maybe the press should be in charge of capturing him, and the military should..... well maybe just count the spoils from their operations. :whistling:

A military coup would only lead to power being moved from one powerful family to another in the Philippines. You'd get nothing but a lot more of the same.

TRUTH - we are delusional if we believe anything in the press to be 100% accurate, the press worldwide has never let the truth interfere with a good story. -.... the way this incident is being reported, who knows what really was behind it, apart from, so they say, it was "successful" in that Marwin, so they say, was killed. AND, if the MILF want their own territory, how come they have a wanted terrorist in their midst, if they can't police their own dung:poop: heap, why should they be permitted to have it ?:devilish:

Says a completely anonymous person with absolutely no evidence to back up their statement.

    A beach resort as a "secret facility"........ok.

    Read: "It's not our fault!"

I'm curious, since when did the US SF or CIA have full command of Filipino military units? Do these units not have commanders that are supposed to brief Filipino politicians on their missions? Now unless the SF/CIA (or whoever these mysterious "American trainers" are) had a gun to the head of this commander (which I don't believe happened for a second) then there seems to have been a breakdown in the chain of command or communications. This is just them passing the buck and not taking responsibility for their own screw ups.

No one seems to know anything........surprise, surprise, either they were not on duty, or they were not informed, or did not get the memo, or the internet was down, or whatever....typical......:banghead:at the end of the day, the buck stops at Aquino, but, he seems to be modelling his Presidency along the lines of Obama, which does not seem very successful............or am I putting it too mildly..?
