 As Stan would say to Ollie, " That's another fine mess you got me into" This time though, I think it may be the Mayor saying it to the Governor.:cautious:

Trikes probably need to be intergrated into the terminal, but with some level of oraganization and order. Not the typical chaos that comes with the independent driving techniThe use of trikes in the a city is an evolutionary step in the development of a city. As a city grows other forms of transportation take over. I am not sure that Dumaguete has the infrastructure to really handle cars, bus, etc on the road way system.

Trikes probably need to be integrated into the terminal, but with some level of organization and order. Not the typical chaos that comes with the independent driving technics of free-for-all driving used by the trike drivers now though out the city. It will be very interesting if the trikes can be policed to only go on their designated roads. If the Mall is responsible for policing then the goal may be achievable... if it is LTO or local police... chaos may rein over that area.
The use of trikes in the a city is an evolutionary step in the development of a city's transportation systems. As a city grows other forms of transportation take over. I am not sure that Dumaguete has the infrastructure or driving discipline to mature to a higher level of municipal type of transportation which can totally integrate cars, bus, etc on the road way system. You have to remember that Dumaguete does not have any stop lights or stop signs. Can you imagine trusting your life to someone following the direction of a stop sign in Dumaguete?

I am assuming it will cost me months or years of dirt, un-passable roads during construction, the the pleasure of have a section of improvement that does not meet up with the old section leaving a 1 meter length of no-man's road of dirt and rocks forever to bounce through.

I heard the road was going to be torn up and replaced with concrete. The present road is less than two years old asphalt and is in good conditions, except for the 1 meter sections that was not connected between new and newer road section. It is a waste of money when so many other roads in the area are potholes and mosquito ponds. I think they have better plans for the road, maybe back to the by-pass road section concept, or part of the new airport road system.

I think Daveyl200 has more information on this road improvements>
