Anyone thinking of traveling to Cebu over the next few months will need to go via barilli over the mountains due to the highway bridge at sibonga getting washed away last night!
Also apparently there were a lot of people evacuated from around these areas late yesterday as the eye of the storm passed right over southern Cebu before turning more north.

this is the alternative route for cars and bikes only up past simila church, a narrow road so I should imagine being a busy road it will be congested to hell, all buses, trucks etc have to use moboal-barilli-Carcar route over the mountain.
Anyone got fresh information on how the repairs to the bridge are going, and thus the level of disruption involved in travelling to Cebu, particularly by bus. Cheers......
What! Like a One way bridge, there on the Lower Bridge and back on the Upper Bridge? Would make sense I guess, if this is what is happening. JP
