Now here is a surprise, we are supposed to get Receipts but I guess we will only get the ones they are talking about IF! the Business is Registered and Paying Tax. DAILY STAR: Negros Oriental Can you imagine the Words spoken by these unscrupulous Trike Drivers and others we are reading about if we asked for an Official BIR receipt? WOW the mind Boggles. anything over 25 peso it says. Hmmmmmmmmmm lots of Sculdergerous Sorry Sorry's and Eateries out there. catch me if you can comes to mind. seems they are trying, Revenue down? hands in Tills? Surely not. JP
It really would be a hassle to issue and receive receipts for every thing over 25 pesos. Remember that everything here is done the old fashioned way. Before I moved to the Philippines I hadn't seen carbon paper for about a decade. Now I know where the developed world sent all of their useless carbon paper. Even the more modernized businesses in the Philippines still hand writes their receipts (even the BIR does). Could you imagine how much longer you would have to wait in line if this law was heavily enforced. It's bad enough as it is. Imagine going on vacation to the Philippines and half of your vacation time was spent waiting in lines just because you had to be issued a receipt.
Very much so but that is what they are hinting at Of course it is Not for the purchasers benefit, Just theirs. so they can see who else is on the F.....le JP
i was sitting in the immig. office last week getting an extension........then this noise starts up.....i thought i know that noise... sat there for a while trying to work it out, had to get up to have a look.....was a flaming typewriter... havent seen one in use for a long time.
Funny you should say this, I notice they are used a lot here, Even NORECO II use them for internal memos. There used to be a lady outside Rose Pharmacy by Jolibee on perdices who did typing JP
.....which they were using to type you up a receipt on some triple layer carbon paper. Give it another decade and they will have moved up to the old dot matrix printers that make that horrid noise while they print. Of course it exists! lol
