I just can't see anything like that happening any time soon down here on negros, can you imagine the training for the pnp here and I have heard nothing of any of the breathalyzer units being here yet.
Those things have to be calibrated daily to work properly unless it's the old crystal colour changing units.

So I wonder what would happen if you hit a check point after having .06% or more and you attach a couple folded 1,000 peso bills to your drivers licenses when you are asked to show it??

I heard they were already giving breath test when I was Why Not the other night. One of the scantily clad young sexy ladies was mentioning she had been pulled over for suspicion of drunk driving. As the officer approached her and drop his trouser she gasped.. "sh*t.. another breath analyzer test, that is two for me in one day! I have to stop wearing this push-up bra when I drink, as it influences the officers thinking."

I thought this was supposed to take effect a year ago? I would not want to be in a serious accident though and be drunk, whoevers fault it was it would be mine.

I have to laugh, when I read this article in the Negros Chronicle :
As soon as Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria signs this new ordinance, specific kinds of helmets and bonnets will no longer be allowed used by riding motorbikers. Not only are these face-covered helmets and bonnets the favorite head attires of would-be assassins riding in tandem, they are also favorites of those who are either casing a would-be victim, or a sneaking eye of person spying on anything. The anti-bonnet and anti-mask ordinance in Dumaguete was approved on the third and final reading during the regular session Wednesday.Approximately a month from now, it will be implemented. The ordinance prohibits motorists from using bonnets and masks while riding on a motorcycle around the city. It was fathered by Coun. Franklin Esmeña III and Coun. Antonio Remollo. The new law is scheduled to be delivered to the provincial board for review.

How many motorcycle riders use helmets here, have mirrors, working lights, indicators or illegal exhausts. This drink driving law will be another law that everyone will talk about for a month, then forgotten.
