Dumaguete City has established a P1.5 million central materials recovery facility, for the tons of garbage in its dumpsite in Barangay Candau-ay, and to improve the reuse, recycling and reduction of the waste management program. Environment and Natural Resource Office head Rey Awayan, encouraged barangays to build their own MRFs to help the city government address the perennial garbage problem, a government press release said. Well Merv, I am talking the 40/50 Kilo Rice size bag. we can normally get 7/8 cement size bags into that. So I am not too unhappy. JP
