Please, I hope, show the Flag and someone say the Ode for thoughts who can't be there or any other ANZAC Day functions through
    the world.

Sorry I can't be with you, I will be back in Aussie, in fact Melbourne with a couple of my ex 4th Battalion mates, 68\69 trip.

    But have a good day,

    Cheers, Lowie, Vietnam Vet.

    • Mate, just a bit about it from an old Digger.

The Ode shall be spoken by the designated person.

    • ( then if you have the means)

    • The Last Post shall be played.

    • A period of not more than two minutes’ silence shall then be observed.

    • Rouse or Reveille shall be played. (‘Rouse’ is the bugle call more commonly used in conjunction with the ‘Last Post’ and to the layman is often incorrectly called ‘Reveille’. Although associated with the ‘Last Post’, ‘Reveille’ is rarely used because of its length.)

    • The ceremony is ended. The words ‘thank you’ shall NOT be spoken to end the ceremony.
    The Ode
    "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."
All to repeat: We will remember them.
    Lest we forget
All to repeat: Lest we forget

This is a good, cool place to meet. Very much secluded so you may never run about it on your typical walk abouts. Photo on Jack Peterson's post about the Uglies and not reading the garden posts yesterday.

I am not sure.. Jack, I know you are a respectable man... but what about all the other guys they that had their ancestors kicked out of England... that could be a group of badly bred guys... like some of my Filipino cats. :frown: You think it will be safe there? I mean we know that the BOI can not protect us, as the government does not have the where-with-all to anticipate and keep paper in stock for Driver License renews, should we really depend on our safety to a group that can not even anticipate the need for Driver's license Paper? If we can bring a couple of beautiful Roos there I know our woman will be safe as the men will most likely be distracted if the Roos are good looking. I have not seen many live Roos here, but we can ask our Australian friends where they buy their blow-up Roos here, maybe a blow up Roo will distract the men...
