Officials of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Negros Oriental and Dumaguete City have assured that they will inspect the decades-old Provincial Agriculture Office building that has repeatedly been overlooked in regular yearly fire safety inspections.

Nitz Bangay, a retired provincial government employee assigned at PAO, noted in a recent forum that the building is dilapidated with electrical wirings looking like “varicose veins”.

Bangay who retired in 2013, said that, she has never seen or read any annual safety inspection certificate issued by the BFP during her stint with the PAO.

Is someone just not doing their job or have they been paid to not do their job? Or perhaps someone paid off but did not follow up on forging the inspection paperwork. Either way, someone has some hard questions to answer.......or probably not since this would involve someone being held accountable.

 Oh dear! an Admission, surely not. The last time this came to light was after the Medical Centre next Door, YES! Right next door to the Fire Station Burned down not too many years ago then, within the last 5 years the old Cinema Complex on Real street went up in flames (but there is a Story there.)
If things don't get burned down or people don't retire, these things would never (I suspect) ever come to light.
Fire is not a Forgiving Issue and Bad Wiring is usually the main cause. So Time for a review on Procedures I think is well in order. :pompus:
