Ford has unveiled a new technology built into its new lineups that could practically put an end to over speeding fines. That’s for those who accidentally over speed.

The new Intelligent Speed Limiter as Ford calls it automatically adjusts the speed of the car to the maximum speed limits rather than waiting for the driver to manually do so.

While several alert systems currently being used alert the driver when the car is speeding, the Ford system goes ahead and does the task on its own.

The system does not apply a sudden brake to limit the speed, rather it adjusts the fuel injection to the vehicle.

I'm not alright with this. I'm sure some po-dunk city mayors won't be too happy with the loss of revenue either.

Ah. I see this is just for Europe. That's fine with me then. Ford has no plans on bringing that crap to 'Murica. They know how much we love our Freedum!

Old technology has practically put an end to over speeding fines here. They do not know how to write a ticket or install speed limit signs? Never heard of anyone getting a seeding ticket in fact never have seen a speed limit sign in Dumaguete, I think there is one on the way out of Dumaguete going into Valencia but I was still traveling so fast I did not notice it. I have never even gotten a ticket for running a stop sign or red light here either. It makes it easier to follow the posted speeding limits, stop signs and red lights when there are none...just another good point to Dumaguete? :shamefullyembarrased:
