Isn't Technology great but a big PITA when you don't really understand it? Today at 0530 I had a good 3 Mbs connection through this new PLDT Ultraplan. then at 0815 the Carpenter, Painter (who is a Sparky by trade) + me and the wife, decided to move the PC to a spare area and re cable. easy enough Ha Ha! LOL. The job took about 1+ hours and all was well, When we switched on Hmmmmmmmmm no connection we thought. So I have been all day with no connection. With this new system we get a 24/7 on line technical help service. we rang them at about 10 am as we were getting nowhere, we took the cable to Ace Logic for testing , no problem it was Fine. So Smart rang after a few hours and said a higher technician would call later to ascertain just where the problem lay. The person at smart just was not able to go any Further at that time. whilst we had no IT connection there was a connection enough for them to do some remote testing of the Modem and system So Guys and Girls, I give my self 100 lines. I must learn the difference between the Ethernet Port and the IT POE Port. You got it, I had the Plugs in the wrong Ports. JP
