I paid a little more than P1000 to send an envelope back to the states through LBC. Arrived fairly quick though (4-5 days).

Hmmm, Sounds like, "Whats shipped to the Philippines, stays in the Philippines!"

It is a long way to deliver something and very few postal services can afford to operate at a loss like the USPS does.

stuff that cost me $500 to ship to philippines, cost me $1200 to ship back. There was an added small out of the way cost to pick it up.. I dropped it off myself in the US where i had a car... I needed pickup in philippines to ship it back... But it was Air cargo and took 4 days to get to me in the US.. One big box got lost and took almost 3 months to get to me because it ended up in Tahiti when it needed to be closer to Chicago area USA.. It was alright with me cause i had time and no real need for the stuff, i just sold the main big pricey item and gave the rest away for free.. Actually Sold it for as much as it cost me to ship it all back to the US..
