    Local news outlets have just reported that the Makati Regional Trial Court has handed down a life sentence on alleged Pork Barrel Queen Janet Napoles. The accused was found guilty of the serious illegal detention case filed by her cousin, former assistant, and pork barrel whistleblower Benhur Luy, two years ago.

    The image made me LOL. She seems to still be in shock. Taking bets on how long before she comes down with a terminal illness and needs to spend the rest of her life in a hospital (or getting treatment overseas.....to never be seen again).

    Oh, don't get your hopes up just yet. This was just a regional court's decision. A lot of appeals left to be had.

    She will be dead from old age before the appeals probably end (as well as all of us and our grandchildren too). She will most likely be out on bail the whole time, or in a private hospital sweet.

    This was probably the first of hundreds who were involved in this scam, let's see if any more hit the dust.

    My money is that this will go away after she goes to prison and a few other minor players are nabbed. You probably won't see any of the country's political starting lineup going to prison over this.

    Ah, my mistake for not reading it all. You see her face and it just registered for pork barrel.

    We had a similar case like this one in our area a few years ago, husband and wife detained their helpers,kept them in the garage and fed them dog food. Made them strip naked and showed them on the web and humiliated them. Also scratched them with tin cans, and hot iron on the body and to top it off she shot her driver in the leg!
    The short of the story was the husband done a runner back to the eu (not a foreigner) and she took the rap.
    Anyway she paid them all off, and then proceeded to do it all again.
