SOME 6,000 football players and officials together with 12,000 parents and 24,000 spectators are expected to converge in four venues in the cities of Bacolod and Talisay during the 2nd Ceres Cup on May 16 and 17, competition director Warren Concepcion said. Playing venues for the two-day event are the Ceres FC North Field (across Ayala District), Carlos Hilado Memorial State College and Talisay City football fields, and Ceres FC Mandalagan Football Field in Bacolod City. More than 200 teams from various schools, football clubs, and provincial associations have so far confirmed their participation. Last year's inaugural tournament has gathered 306 teams from across the country. When I read the title I thought the "Ceres Cup" meant they were going to close down some stretch of the national highway and race Ceres buses.....which would be awesome!
I thought the cup would be won by the driver that ran over the most people or ran the most off the road. many may not agree with me but if you get to read the stats for of negros you may change your mind
