MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Jejomar Binay on Thursday stressed that the report of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) is part of a demolition job against him.

242 seems like a pretty odd number to just throw out there. But this politician seems to be playing the word game......he says he does not have 242 "bank accounts". He mentions nothing about the insurance or possible investment accounts the article is talking about.

actually it's an even number, not to be picky.
Those guys can from Dumb as a Stump to Legal Beagle at the drop of a hat.

The only way the people here will ever get ahead is to demand 5,000 per vote/candidate.
At least this way they will get some of their money back.

Maybe he got 243, and hence can deny having 242 :-)

It takes long enough get served in 1 bank, why would you want 242 accounts.

Binay denied the claims of AMLC that his only source of income is his salary and noted that he has savings even before joining the government.

Not counting money obtained whilst Mayor of Makati

How do you know when a politician is lying, their lips move.

I suspect most politicians have many many bank accounts. Philippine banks only insure up to P500k per account. It would be very unwise for anyone with significant wealth to store their money in a single Philippine bank account.

He stated he had only 5 accounts, that being the case and only a p500k insurance per account. Something tells me he is not very clever with money, Or is he?:cautious:
