    Just to let you know that while Phil Health with cover pre-existing conditions and beyond the age of 65yo-most other local health insurance companies drop you at 65yo. Blue Cross here in Dgte is one of the few non-PhilHealth insurance companies that will cover you past 65yo.

    And they will maintain your coverage for the same yearly fee even if you come down with kidney failure IF you are already a member when it happens.

    Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you're saying. I’ve had a Blue Cross Philippines “dollar” policy for 4 years and that is not my understanding. In fact the brochure states that “The Insured Person must be 20 to 65 years old upon effective date/renewal date. The less expensive “peso” plans state it a little differently but nowhere does it state that you can keep the plan past 65. There is a separate policy (more expensive, of course) for 65+. If true that’s very good news because I was counting on my costs practically doubling. Do you have a source for this?
