Davao ranked as 4th safest in 349 cities worldwide. I think these statistics speak for them themselves. My choice for President. US human rights org wants probe on Duterte, Davao ‘death squad’ | News
He admitted to organizing death squads. No arrest, no judge, no jury. How many innocent people have been killed by him and his thugs? How many personal grudges have resulted in people calling in an enemy to have them killed? We will never know. Duterte should be in prison for the lives he is responsible for taking. That will never happen though. Death squads should NEVER be an answer.
We are now beyond the two hand Counting of people like him (or very near this) in the world. Will people never Learn from other Countries mistakes? JP
A extrajudicial killing is a murder. Statistically. How can Davao rank #4 safest with it's high number of unsolved murders?
I really despise this guy. If he was really serious about a safe city he would attack corruption in the city police force and judicial branch. If the police and judges were doing their jobs there would be no need for these extrajudicial killings. Ranked as the 4th safest city...bollocks. Remember who is providing the stats.
Did you like the movie “Dirty Harry” starring Clint Eastwood? Did you like its sequel, “Magnum Force,” as well as the two other lesser sequels? Did you like the vigilante series where Charles Bronson was an architect by day and a vigilante by night who chased and killed hardened criminals whom the police and the law could not stop? If you did, along with millions of other moviegoers (which is why there were so many sequels of the original movies), then you must also like Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. The real-life mayor is supposedly doing what the two movie heroes did on the make-believe silver screen: kill hardened criminals that escape through the fingers of the law Read more: Why people like ‘Dirty Duterte’ | Inquirer Opinion Follow us: @inquirerdotnet on Twitter | inquirerdotnet on Facebook Unfortunately this guy is probably the only one who could/would sort the mess of curruption out in this country! If any of the others who are running get in nothing will change and the poor will keep suffering and drug gangs would be rife. Something has to change soon otherwise this country will be left in a hole in Asia.
Why the assumption that he is not corrupt? Also, these other countries that are moving forward in Asia aren't using death squads. It's not an answer. Duterte should be in prison if he had a part in the extraducial murders.
Davy you are right but.... Prove what, they are are or not Corrupt, it really does go both ways. JP A little easier in the mind this afternoon.
