Does anyone know the cost of getting this shot in Dumaguete? Which hospital would be best? I told my gf she could just go to the Holy Child ER and get her scratches cleaned up and get her booster shot while she was at it. But of course she is now saying she is scared of needles. Time to send some scary pictures of tetanus patients.
Came across this just now, might be useful sorry it so late but better late than never DOH advises firecracker victims to get anti-Tetanus shots JP
Well she went to the medical center in Valencia. Everything added up to 100 pesos. So now she is pretty pissed at me that I didn't tell her how much that shot burns....but I knew she wouldn't go if I told her it was a painful one. A little pain is better than getting tetanus so my little ommission of the truth was worth it IMO (though she doesn't agree with me). [DOUBLEPOST=1432879457,1432879416][/DOUBLEPOST]They did say she would need to go back in a month for something. Don't know why though.
Seems these things always comes in Two's, a little like buses or trains, or even Fines. Always to better to be safe than sorry JP
Tetanus is once, no reason to go back in a week that I know of. Our son had to have one for busting his head open a few weeks ago (8 year olds playing). I would have to check but from what I remembered it is a 10 year shot. Let her know our son got some deadening shot for the 3 stitches and did not whine a second for the Tetanus in the arm. Shawn
My daughter (10 years old) last year had a booster shot in the arm at SMC, she said it was less pain than a mosquito bite and now not afraid of needles...
Dustin my friend, tell her better the pain from a Tetanus Booster than a Rabies Shot, that one I hear is really painful. JP
