    There is absolutely nothing to stop anyone coming here, look at tambobo bay which is only a stones throw from mindano, anyone could come into there at night and raid any resort or home with planning.
    End of tourism on negros oriental for a long long time. We all budgets are stretched to their limit here for stuff like this but they would be even more stretched if something like this happened!
    If the foreigners stopped coming to the resorts for any length of time plenty of resorts would go under very quickly.
    Again no forward thinking or planning.

    Jack it's kind of hard to argue with you on this one hahaha...

    Sounds like the same theory of catastrophic reform that exists in nearly every other aspect of society: Nothing will get done until something really bad happens.
    It's unfortunate to think of what will have to happen before the local LE gets it together.
    Turning the dollar spigot off will certainly light a fire under their asses that we know.

    In this type of situation being armed would do absolutely nothing for you. A pistol is going to do absolutely nothing but get you killed against a group of armed criminals looking to kidnap you.....but you might have a chance if your name is John Rambo.

    Best chance at survival is to hide and avoid drawing attention to yourself. By shooting at them you are telling them you are the biggest threat in the area and you need to be eliminated. A little pewpew gun with limited accuracy and range isn't going to do a thing against 5 or more guys with an AK47. (Also, shooting while someone is shooting at you means you are going to miss.....a LOT. If you plan on getting in a firefight with a group of kidnappers carrying assault rifles you better bring more than just the 6-7 rounds one mag carries.)

    For Goodness sake listen to you Lot. This sounds more like "High Noon" or "The Gunfight at the 'OK' Corral" rather than the peaceful lunch time I had with Shawn "M" & Cherry in Peaceful Dumaguete whilst Handing over Our new Puppy! :thumbsup: Keep your Heads down and Speak Nicely and all will be OK:wink:

    How about some stun grenades and smoke grenades too. then with a fully automatic assault rifle pick them of one by one. Been in Mc ducks lately lol :bag:
