I'm almost out of spots for stamps for visa extensions hence needing more passport pages. Anyone have experience with this? From what have read it can only be done in Manila (not at the consulate office in Cebu). Is there a way to have it done for me or better to go myself? If I went is it same day service or how long? If it takes more then 1-2 days is it possible to just have it mailed back to me? Any info anyone can provide on how to make this as painless as possible. From what it looks like we're just supposed to show up without an appointment and hate to run into issues as its not cheap to run off to Manila from Dumaguete to get screwed around by government offices no matter the government. I should mention also US Passport. Thanks, Chris
I had it done in Hong Kong and it only took 30 minutes. I hope someone can help you who had it done here. I wonder if the Cebu Consulate would respond to an email on that.
I know I went to Cebu to get my new passport..they mailed it here..why not just buy and get a new passport at the waterfront hotel i believe its the us embassy there its called???
I did both. Several years ago I got extra pages for my passport and earlier this year I got a new passport. If you're within a few years of needing renewal, I'd definitely recommend getting the new one. I had both processed through the consulate at Cebu. It takes a bit longer there than going to Manila, but both times in Cebu I just walked in, filled in the forms, paid the amount (don't remember exactly what it was), left my passport and it was returned to me by mail. The service in Cebu is fast and efficient. Warning: take plenty of cash including small change with you, as they require the exact amount, either in dollars or pesos. Also, the hours of operation in Cebu can be tricky. Best to call ahead. I can't vouch for this, but here's the phone number they list: (32) 231-1261.
Thanks all. I may just get a new passport as mine has only 3 years left on it and a 52 page one should solve my issues. I'd also rather deal with trips to Cebu which can be enjoyable and easy to get to then deal with Manila.

Yah I saw that on their website about mostly closed during August. I may need to aim for the 10-14 date to deal with passport as it looks like an issue they will be handling then.
