I don't think the majority of Filipinos are what you would call 'dog lovers' ... The neighbor next door to the condo unit I live in has a dog that they just keep in a cage that is so small the dog can't hardly turn around in.

It's really heartbreaking that they keep that dog in there day in and day out ... All it does is bark all the time. My guess is that it has now gone crazy from it's very sad living conditions.

There are many Filipinos that keep dogs in very similar conditions.

No ... Most Filipinos are NOT real dog lovers ! !

My 4 dogs are family, Philippines is close to number one for rabies. My Australian friend's daughter was attacked by there family puppy with rabies, So I'm an animal lover but there is something that should be done about the mange muts that are not cared for. When a dog drops dead no one will pay for an autopsy, so no one knows the actual the actual cause of death. That's why I don't walk my dogs too much any more. Sorry for typing through beer boggles...

My gripe with the dogs is the rubbish strewn over the road the night before collection, those guys coming along picking it up in the morning have my sympathy and they never seem to complain either, the other thing that is not only in the Philippines is ,do you notice that the owner of a barking dog at night is the only one in the street that never seems to hear it?

hmm,, what are they going to do with all the dogs they catch, if the dog catchers actually do what is intended for them to do?

Most likely put them down and incinerate the bodies. That's if they ever follow through on it.

I have heard in the past that they throw them into a container, dead or alive, with some fuel which then is ignited.....Hopefully it is just a story, but you never know here.....

    Hi there,

Would the Rottweiler be of solid bloodline?? Good solid stature??

If yes, did you import them?? Local breeder??

I would love to extend my family with 2 off those big fellows.

    Feedback will be appreciated.

Once again a Big Fat NO NO, a child was bitten by a stray dog that people around here had not seen before, (this was Saturday afternoon) now it transpires that a Fisherman coming home in the early Hours of Saturday, saw a Barangay vehicle [ Not a local Barangay one] dumping Dogs off along the Junob/Valencia Road. So I guess this is what they do, they catch them on their patch and Dump them on someone else's.
We used to get this in Spain, Bad, BAD I say.
The little Child ( a 5 year old Girl) was treated at Holy Child Hospital and give 2 stitches & an Ante- Rabies jab and Hopefully all will be well.
The Dog was Shot by a neighbour under the supervision of our own Captain. Who, I might Add, had very Little to say about his methods of Disposal of the Strays they have caught, just that Shrug of the shoulders and the usual comment Ongoing, Yeah we know.:banghead:
:roflmao: Next Stray I see I will tie a yellow Ribbon on it and see where it ends up. So keep you eyes peeled:thumbsup:

No it's not funny but if you don't laugh we will cry.:cautious:
