    Hi everyone--
A quick hi and brief introduction-- I will be coming late in October for a week plus- really looking forward to getting a feel for Dumaguete-- Hope to retire in late 2016 or very early 2017. The PI and Dumaguete are definitely on the radar-- I am visiting PI for a month total with Palawan and Cebu on the agenda as well--
I have previously spent time in Thailand and Mexico's Yucatan peninsula--
I love photography and actually teach it part time here in Denver--hence the Fstop handle---lol
I'll post more direct question etc as time goes on-but this site has already been an excellent resource--thanks!!!
Say hi if u are so inclined--
    Tom

Welcome to the forum. We hope you like Dumaguete, might take more than one trip though to fully appreciate this location. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum. If you check it the main site Dumaguete Info - you will see there is plenty of outdoor activities on the island. Rent a car/motorcycle and you should be able to get to some places and land some great photos!

You don't have to. You can use public transportation or hire trike/jeepney (with driver) for the day. It's really not that expensive to do this. Probably about the same price as renting a car. If you have never driven a motorcycle in the Philippines I would recommend you not renting one.
