Come to think of it, I have not seen this lady about for some time, We had need to use her when we were about to move and had no IT Connection in Batinguel or here in Junob Dumaguete lady relies on trusty typewriter to earn a living She used to be out side Rose Pharmacy until they upgraded the Shop then she went down to the parlour by. "Pick & Carry" But I was there on Saturday and never saw her, Has anyone else seen here lately? Just a Thought. JP
Just curious what a person would need something typed up these day? (I'm sure in the Philippines there must be something being done so backwards and old school that there is a need for it.)
The Registrar and Halls of Justice still use manual Typewriters and I mean manual Azon still has one allocated on Audit number for emergencies, in fact you would be very surprised at the amount of Places that still do use a Typewriter I reckon this is where the worlds unused carbon paper gets used. and this is why the NSO Paperwork is in a bad shape, it don't photo copy to well. JP
I had some personal paperwork typed by her last week and she has an old Royal typewriter. 25p per page. I had some copies made after and this improved the look. Wish I could find a used one to give her as a replacement.
Typewriter For Sale Philippines - Find New And Used typewriter On OLX I'd pitch in for one of those....though I have no idea what a "good" typewriter would be. The only typewriter I messed around with was one my parents had but it was electronic (you typed a few sentences out on an small screen for proof-reading then it typed it out on paper when you hit a button).
Bit of trivia....I learned to type in the PI, in High School. This was pre PC and pre-electric typewriters. Took typing two years...initial motivation....girls LOL
