Shot convicted murderer in prison Manila - The murder at the former Masbate City Mayor Moises Espinosa Jr. sentenced Charlie Quidato, on Thursday in the high-security wing of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City was shot dead by a prisoner. Quidato a leader of the Commando Gang had shot at the Fiesta in Bantique, Masbate City, Masbate City Mayor Espinosa Jr. on 9 August 2001 and had been sentenced to life imprisonment.The Bureau of Corrections (BUCOR) Director Ricardo Rainier Cruz III says Quidato was on Thursday at 17:20 clock by Ronald Catapang who also is a member of the Commando Gang, killed with a revolver caliber 357 Magnum by two shots. Quidato who was a former Provincial Prison Head, 2012 was transferred to the NBP to his life imprisonment dismount. The NBP spokesman Bobby Olaguer says during the subsequent search of the prison cells, 14 hand guns, including the murder weapon, a grenade, a remote-controlled drone, two refrigerators, and air conditioning have been found. According to Cruz, the drone was only a toy, without a camera or other accessories. Cruz says the incident was clearly a power struggle between the two Commando gang members to take over the leader position of the laid in another maximum security prison Jayvee Sebastian. lol I'm not so sure that normal operations is such a good thing considering "normal" operations allowed inmates to have guns and grenades.
