This happened Sunday on the South Road at the Junction with Noreco Road. Very lucky to survive.

Every time i drive i see many riders like him and wonder why their is not many more prangs, trouble if you are unlucky enough to be the driver of the other car you with your long nose will be in the wrong .

Riders like him? A car turned left in front of him. I see many drivers that the one of the SUV.....don't give a crap about anyone but themselves and where they are going.

One of the biggest problems are the idiots on bikes don't have mirrors and if they had they think they are for fixing their hair, even the car drivers don't use them!

Looking behind wouldn't have helped anyone in the video above. Mirrors are just there to see the idiot getting ready to do something stupid behind you or when switching lanes (there are very few two lane roads in Dumaguete). It is rare in any country with reasonable driving laws to hold the person hit from behind at fault. I don't think a lack of mirrors here are the cause for many, if any, accidents.

Cant see from a 2nd look at the video how mirrors or not would saved that Accident. It was all happening in front of him Not behind.

    So who's fault is it?
I'd blame they guy in the light coloured car for trying to turn left and not seeing the idiot on the bike.
The guy on the bike will get a Darwin Award sooner or later.

I feel bad for the van driver, it looks like he will need a new windshield and who will pay!
