I need to ship about 10 Kg of books and stuff to Canada. Any suggestion? If it takes several months that's okay. Thanks.
I've used LBC to ship documents to the US but it was pretty pricey just for an envelope (P1200 or so if I remember correctly). I would think they would ship to Canada as well but 10KG is going to be pretty dang expensive....but I think that's going to be the case no matter which shipping service you use. Also, I don't believe the Balikbayan boxes are limited to incoming mail. They can go out as well. You could probably find a company that deals with those and ship it out to Canada at a more reasonable price.
It's strange how cheap it is to ship a balikbayan box using a freight forwarder from the US to the Philippines. These boxes go by container ship. ... but, it's so expensive to ship something equivalent from the PI to the US. Don't these container ships go both ways? ... Price should be about the same? ______________________________ Like the old saying goes ... what you have in the Philippines, stays in the Philippines when you leave. oh well
R&A Fastfrate These are the Philippine agents for Reliable Cargo Express Corp ( Ontario ), they are based in Pasig, Manila and are associated with 2Go which is based in Dumaguete. It may be worth giving them a ring in Manila, to see if they may be able to help.
