Mr. Phuc Dat Bich has been banned from Facebook numerous times – and each time he has to fight to get his ‘tarnished’ name reinstated. Mr. Bich has basically been ‘bitching’ up a storm in his attempt to not be thrown from social media sites – his passport insert shows his real name is clearly “Phuc Dat b*tch.” 23-Year-Old Bich is said to work for Bank of Australia and has noted that his name is “highly irritating” as people do not believe that is truly his real name. The issue with the real name of the man is not in fact how it appears – Phuc Dat Bich is pronounced “Phoo Da Bic” – his online struggles have been shared over ten thousand times since hitting the news. The report cited Mr. Bich as saying “I’ve been accused of using a false and misleading name, which I find very offensive.”
A man whose claim that Facebook discriminated against him because of his name was reported around the world has announced that it was a hoax. In January, a man posted to Facebook a screenshot of an Australian passport that appeared to show his full legal name was Phuc Dat Bich, claiming that he had been accused of “using a false and misleading name” and had his account shut down multiple times. The post went viral in mid-November.Media including the Sydney Morning Herald, news.com.au, SBS, BBC.com, the Herald Sun and 9news.com.au – reported the story, though Phuc Dat Bich gave no interviews.
