Frey was a founding member of the Eagles. Sounds like he had many medical problems.R.I.P. The Eagles' Glenn Frey dead at 67 - CNN.com
Losing both David Bowie and Glenn Frey is a humbling acknowledgement that those of us 60+ have moved into our next chapter in life. So let's all of us enjoy what we have, focus on the positives, take our aches and pains, and be thankful for whatever we have left. Cheers
I was a big Eagles fan in the UK during the early years. I liked to drive with YES , Eagles , Gerry Rafferty , Rory Gallagher etc etc . I had a diverse taste from Tamla to Missisipi , Liverpool to London and Sinatra in between . Something about being able to try sing along with lyrics appealed about the Eagles. Then , they morphed into a more rock influenced sound with Joe Walsh and Don Felder bringing their own ideas into the mix, this eventually led to more in house friction. Can you imagine the situation , living and breathing into the same space as five driven individuals from as far apart as you can be without being overseas ? Detroit, Texas, Florida, can't remember where Walsh was from ......then introduce the jealousy, the artistic ability , the money split , the girls, the charlie , ludes, .....I'm surprised they lasted so long ! I'm wondering if they'll ever do it again without Glenn Frey, he was a talent , no doubt . Let's get back and do it again . Beach Boys.
