Rupert Wingfield-Hayes saw evidence that concrete used to construct the building was reinforced with tin cans and styrofoam.Taiwan earthquake: Felled building 'reinforced with tin cans' - BBC News
Who is Rupert Wingfield-Hayes? Unless he is an construction engineer I'm call BS on buildings being reinforced with "tin cans and Styrofoam" (and if he is a reporter he should know that "Styrofoam" should be capitalized since it is a trademarked name). I think "someone" has never seen rubble before and is confusing trash with building materials. Drama queen.
If you take a look at the bbc video you can clearly see large 5 gallon oil containers in the concrete, they probably should not be there.
Well I stand corrected. What a bunch of idiots those contractors were! I bet someone is looking to get out of town quickly.
The building construction inspector(s) looked aside, or wasn't even present, when the concrete was being poured/vibrated. For sure, that person(s) is/are long gone. if ever there was one to begin with. WOW! nwlivewire
