Tagum City – News Brief – 2/5/2016 • Apokon – Purok Durian – 2 unidentified men were found dead who are believed to have been tortured before they were murdered. The victims were found with their hands tied with nylon and with many bullet holes over their bodies. • Mabini, brgy Kadunan… 5 armed men, believed to be members of the NPA kidnaped a 56 year old care-taker of Tauho Farm. No arrests have been made. No demands from the NPA have been made as yet. • Panabo, wharf Road…Man was arrested by PDEA DavNor for possession of Shabu worth an estimated 900,000p. • Tagum – Madaum – Man chokes to death on banana. A 57 year old man choked to death after swallowing a cooked banana. He was DOA to local hospital. • Tagum, Mankilam – Home was burglarized. Items stolen were camera, tablet, wallet, ATM cards and undetermined amount of cash. Access was thought to be gained through a window. • Tagum – Half way house will be built for men who surrender from organizations like NPA. • Tagum – Man, 30 years old, is badly injured following a high speed chase. The injured man claims that he trying to get away from an unidentified person who was chasing him. He is receiving treatment at DRMC

A few years back an American tourist was in Pamplona and saw the kids chewing sugar cane. She asked for some and chewed it, but then tried to swallow it. She nearly choked to death and was only saved by some quick witted locals. So it just goes to show, you can't teach stupid.
Robbery of two Spaniards in Badian Cebu - On Friday, the two Spanish tourists Javier De Olano and Sara Aldazabal were in town district Ginablan in Badian, attacked and robbed by two unidentified men. According to Jeremias Elardo of the Badian Police Station, the two foreigners on their rented motorcycle were overtaken in Ginablan at 13:00 by a motorcycle which was then blocked their way. One of the two masked robbers aimed a pistol at De Olano and demanded the backpack of Aldazabal. The Spaniards reported to the police but the subsequent search was unsuccessful.
