The last letter i had delivered was sent from UK 31 Dec 2015, arrived in Philippines 30 Jan 2016, arrived in Dumaguete 4 Feb 2016, arrived at Bacong PO 9 Feb 2016 (9 km) arrived at our house 19 Feb (1 km)
The most annoying thing about this is that all the people who still want to use the postal sevice after i tell them just to do everything by e-mail always say the same thing , e-mail is not secure, but a piece of paper passing through a 1000 hands is ??
I know there are certain things that must be posted such as new credit or debit cards but i cannot understand in this day and age any need to post anything else....:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I have a package coming by PhilPost that was shipped from China. 3 months and still not here and tracing is a joke. Each person puts you off to another person until you get tired or calling or emailing. Unfortunately it was the shipper's choice but I would never again buy anything online where the shipper was using PhilPost or an affiliate.

I just ordered something from Ebay (Philippines) from China. I didn't check how they were shipping but I had to laugh when they claimed it would be here in 2-5 days. I've ordered things from China before and it usually takes 2-5 weeks (and usually have to pay duty on it.....which they also said I wouldn't have to do). Only a divine being could make a 2-5 day delivery and avoid the extremely corrupt Philippine Customs officers possible and if it does arrive in the next 3 days I will have to ask them what god they were praying to and convert to their religion.

I just made an order online of things I needed from USA on Feb 13, 2016, It was shipped 16 Feb 2016 by Fed Ex (locally called Air 21 in PI) and arrived at my doorstep on 20 Feb. 2016. Wasn't cheap but was very fast. If it's something you really need or want I suggest you have it sent via courier. You can track it online and know exactly where your package is all the way from where sent to it's final destination. Be prepared though depending on what was sent you may owe customs duties in PI, but with Air21 (FedEx) they do all the paperwork and you pay cash upon delivery and they will inform you by text or email exactly how much duty is required by Customs and you get official receipt from customs for monies paid also. Very expedient and pleasant doing business with FedEx (Air 21).

IMO Philpost $uck$. If you ever receive the package or letter it will be months after it was sent and that's IF you even get it! The first three years I lived here (back in 90's) my family tried to send me care packages, Birthday and Christmas gifts even though I said don't mail me anything and I never ever not even once received anything they ever sent it was lost/stolen by Philpost long before it ever got to me. After 3 years they finally got the message and stopped sending me packages. Now if they really want to send me something I tell them to either send it by courier or just wire transfer me cash.
