So it will be good for something then, BTW you will need it if you join Philhealth:thumbsup:
When you want to do a Drivers License they may well ask as well. I get the impression that the ACR will be required more and more now we have this New BI Chief.

Blazing fast speed! I was in Duma for 4 months before they said OH! You need an ACRI. It took another 4 months for it to come in. I wouldn't mind getting the card at all if I had ever seen a machine that could read it or had ever been asked for it.

I thought I read somewhere that they were going to be phased out in favor of something else?

That will be me at least for a year or two (9A). Good, one less hoop to jump through.

a few weeks ago went into the B.O.I. and noticed a sign on the door and back wall stateing this is a goverment office and dress code is required.............and will not serve customers wearing singlets shorts or slippers......or some thing like that.

I usually wear shorts slippers and singlet there.....is this a new notice to be obeyed or do I just go there in my usual attire.......??

I obeyed the sign last visit. Many other expats in the office did not. I guess its up to you if you want to follow their request or not.

On a personal level I like to show the workers the respect they deserve.

It is bad enough that we moan and groan on how backward we believe the department is, but the staff deserve respect.

I am not going to the beach, my own backyard, restobar, hanging with mates, etc.

    My 2cents worth.

I admit to missing the mark as far as shorts go, but I did wear proper khaki shorts and would not wear "gym shorts". Wearing a shirt with sleeves and "real" shoes isn't exactly a huge request as we probably all these items already (I came here with a backpack and a suitcase, pants didn't make the cut).
