Fast food franchises almost always adapt their menu/ingredients to local taste. Judging from most "Mexican" food I've tried here I'd say Taco Bell wouldn't be a favorite stop of mine if it came to town. Note: I always go to Taco Bell when I visit the US and I am always very disappointed with the taste. Used to love it.....can't really say I care for it anymore.
Taco bell I went to in Manila wasn't the same as in the US, I can't say it was any worse though. They seemed to be continuously packed and I believe it might be partly because they offered serve yourself refills from the soda machine.
It makes me wonder why Starbucks are so popular,the coffee is crap and very overpriced. Coffee should be fresh ground beans through a French press or an expresso machine with owt added to it! All this crap they put into it and the fancy names is just a gimmic.
My source had told me the same guy that owns Kymco (I won't mention his name) owns the two Bo's franchises here in town
