    The glass still seems to be in place, but the rear windows are taped over. What's going on?

    Break ins? Heat making the glass shatter?

    I also happen to remember to see one or more of the type of car lately. My estimate, rear window broken and temporarily fixed with tape as either a new window not on stock @the dealer or the owner not enough cash to pay for the repair.

    Maybe big cracks in the rear window the tape is to stop it from breaking? Seems kinda odd though.

    Hold in place? Where do the owners think the glass is going?

    - I'll bet one rear window shattered for ? reason and the "word spread" to tape them babies up before yours shatters as well !!
