Are you thinking of moving alex? Veggies will always be cheaper up there as a lot are grown on the fertile lands of mt kanlaon and shipped out! Good stuff though, nice to see the comparison.

From my personal experience I find many of the things on that list more than what I pay when going out. (If Dumaguete is the first price listed.)

Remember that Numbeo's content is user generated. Very few expats living in Bacolod so the prices are going to be largely submitted by locals. Not putting them down but they are capable of living at much lower costs that expats are (even if an expat WANTED to live as cheap as a local I don't think they would be able to).

    I think that this:
    Contributors:29 27
might mean that there were 29 contributors from Dumaguete and 27 from Bacolod. If that's the case that's a mighty small sample group....and we know absolutely nothing about their social or economic status....or even motivations behind posting the info .

Note: I have been tracking every peso I have been spending this month (every parking boy/every photocopy). At the end of the month I will publish every peso I spent this month.

There are so many budget items that are personal choice. For example: Clothes for me: 1000 pesos will buy shorts at the ukay ukay, Nike knock offs at same place, plus T shirt, undershorts and socks. Clothes for "Y": 3,000 pesos will buy a bodysuit, shoes and a bag but she needs more budget as still needs bra and hat and socks and underwear.

But thanks for the tip on Bacolod. Maybe I'll move there one day. Any condos there that a foreigner can own?
