Not sure what is going on either. Restored your original post here. The only edit history on your posts is coming from your account (minus the restore that I did prior to sending this reply). Perhaps a bad internet connection is the culprit?
And it's good advice. I have a 13a probationary. Applied in February for amendment to permanent. Still waiting for my name to show up on the agenda list. My probationary expires in May. But, I believe, if necessary (not sure if it's necessary), can get what's called an Interim Extension. Not sure of the cost though.
Not sure either mate but using the Internet Cafe here sometimes means lost connections or weird happenings o.O Fingers crossed Globe lives up to their promise of installing a Tower in Malatapay so that I may finally get the Internet on at home with a half decent connection...
Why even bother with all that crap and the sometimes unknowedgable Staff at BI not to mention subjecting yourself to travel tax? Take the wifey on a vacation and get the BB stamp on return. Good for a year. Edited by a moderator to remove an objectionable word
Hi folks, Great forum. My Filipino wife and I are planning to move to the Philippines next July 2018. I planning on going the Balikbayan privilege route on arrival. In relation to the 13a Visa I have hear conflicting reports re medical tests/reports etc. Is there a need to get the medical tests, X-rays etc if applying while in the Philippines? Reason I ask....I don't like medical tests hehe Cheers Allan
If you are close to a consular you might want to do the process where you are. My 13a probationary took two trips to manila. Due to a variety of screw ups by the BI my permanent visa needed 4 or 5 trips. I heard but can not confirm that you can get a permanent 13a abroad.
Thanks for the replies. If you apply in the UK Philippines Embassy they insist on medical tests, chest x rays etc. I think I will go the Balikbayan privilege route then after 6 months apply for 13a in Manila. Thanks for any advice
