CEBU CITY, Philippines – A British national has been arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation in Cebu yesterday.

52-year-old Wade Lloyd Allsopp was arrested inside one of the rooms he rented at a hotel in Cebu City.

Authorities arrested Allsopp in the company of seven women from various cities, including Iloilo, Bacolod and Cebu.

NBI agents said the hotel was under surveillance for the past two week due to reports that Allsopp was recruiting, and exposing the women to cyberpornography.

In the raid, NBI agents recovered two laptops and two digital cameras that contained nude photos of the women who were caught in the room upon the foreigner’s arrest.

Allsopp is accused of taking nude photos of women and selling them to his customers abroad via the Internet.

Police said when they barged into his room, they discovered one of the women half naked – an investigation into the matter also showed that the British national also had sex with several of the women.

Agents for NBI said Allsopp is facing charges of Republic Act 9208 (the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003), Republic Act 9262 (the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act), as well as Republic Act 10175 (the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

The women involved in the raid claimed to be all above 18-years-old. The women’s ages are still under investigation and they will all be treated as victims. The seven women are presently being interviewed to understand the depth of Allsopp’s operations in and around Cebu.

Allsopp told reporters that he arrived in Cebu just a week ago for vacation – he told Cebu Daily News that “I came here to have a good time, not to exploit women. There are many bad guys out there, and I’m not one of them.’

The British national went on to say he is a retired finance officer from the U.K. and described the allegations against him as “unfounded.”

He went on to say “I have no intention of getting money from the girls. Instead, I want to help them succeed in life and have a decent future.

He says he arrived a week ago, the NBI say they had the hotel under surveillance for 2 weeks. Must have known he was coming.

Police said when they barged into his room, they discovered an orgy in progress. The room was filled with discarded panties, bras and naked bodies. Police had to sort through a pile of naked women before they could even find TheDude, who was also naked at the bottom of the pile.

Not only had TheDude had sex with all the alleged victims, but the victims were having oral sex with each other. The victims even recruited more victims from other rooms in the hotel.

The women involved in the raid claimed they weren't yet satisfied and were eager for their second round with TheDude when Police rudely interrupted their fun.

Police discovered laptops with open Facebook profiles of the victims which contained posts of naked selfies.

Currently the Police are still holding TheDude at the hotel until both his smile and his erection subsides. Police suspect Viagra was involved, a claim TheDude denied while suggesting the Police were simply envious after weeks of listening to marathon sex along with bystanders from across the street.

 

I'm trying to remember the name of the Australian fellow who was jailed in Cebu about 4 years ago for doing a similar thing. I wonder if he is out yet. He was pretty proud of his 'stable' before he got arrested.

The weird hypocrisy - is how many young pinoys virally share internet pornography on their smart phones? - watching and giggling.. Its very prevalent here from my observations.

 

Different story I think - sharing just for the fun of it vs making a business out of it and more or less exploiting local women. However the cybercrime act seems to apply to both cases:

(1) Cybersex. — The willful engagement, maintenance, control, or operation, directly or indirectly, of any lascivious exhibition of sexual organs or sexual activity, with the aid of a computer system, for favor or consideration.
