British National Arrested for Assault on Filipina Wife in Talisay City, Cebu Posted on June 1, 2016 by Timothy Walker • 0 Comments British National Arrested for Assault on Filipina Wife in Talisay City, Cebu – www.philippineslifestyle.com TALISAY CITY, Cebu – A British National has been arrested for an assault on his Filipina wife after a heated argument in Barangay Pooc, Talisay City, Cebu. 55-year-old George Johnston, a former supervisor of an oil drilling company, was arrested after his wife sought the assistance of barangay officials after her husband supposedly slammed her head onto a concrete wall during the heated argument. Johnston is currently held at the Talisay City police station for further disposition.
This is sad and very wrong however if it was a pinoy that assaulted his wife would the story get the same coverage.
Well Alex, I doubt it would have got based Barangay level but that does not excuse the behaviour, as with many things though, a heated Argument does not tell the story and I can almost 100% guarantee, it will be about overspends or a bit on the Side. There will be more to it, than meets the eye. I wonder also what would have happened if it had been the Wife beating the husband, This I am hearing about more and more lately then the lady hiding behind the law, which of course will always be on her side regardless.
If it had been a pinoy he would have been released within 24 hours. My ex and her sister were staying in a room for rent after our breakup (here in Dumaguete a number of years ago). A BF of a friend that occasionally hung out at their place during lunch break from school came over pounding on the door demanding his GF come out who wasn't even there and of course didn't live there. My ex's 16 year old sister was the only one there and the guy was drunk off his @ss and making her scared. She finally opened the door to show him she wasn't there when he said he'd leave if she wasn't no problem. My ex's sister opened the door and the guy punched her hard in the eye giving her a black eye. We went to the police and pressed charges me as only a concerned friend who's assisting with their education and they went and arrested the guy. 12 hours later they released him and texted us they were releasing him as it wasn't a serious charge. Talked to the captain and he said we needed to get a lawyer and press charges against him ourselves as it was out of their hands. And no, this creep wasn't connected or anything of that sort. Just the police didn't want to hold him any longer then it took to sober up.
Lets not throw out the possibility that there was no abuse and she just made this up. Being a foreigner he would never be believed innocent or not. If she just wanted a free home, this would be an option.
Foreigner getting his head bashed on concrete wall during heated argument with Filipina? That would likely be a self inflicted wound.
