A New Floating Bar Just Opened in Negros Occidental and It Looks Awesome You should definitely add it to your travel bucket list. By Tria Bondoc | June 14, 2016 Share Tweet Pin Crystal blue waters, fine sand and breathtaking views – Negros Occidental is known to have many of the most beautiful beaches in the country. But did you know there’s an island there considered to be the Ibiza of the Philippines? Lakawon Island, located in the northern region of Negros Occidental, is a banana-shaped island off the coast of Cadiz. It’s also called the “mini-Boracay” of Negros because of its fine white sand and pristine waters. Just recently, the resort launched its newest attraction – a floating bar called TawHai. Via meainbacolod Via facebook Via Source TawHai is claimed to be the biggest floating bar in Asia, and looks similar to those found in Ibiza, Spain. There are new party hot spots popping up all around the city but nothing beats partying with a beautiful view of the beach, right? Via meainbacolod An entrance fee of PHP200 is charged to tourists, exclusive of food and drinks availed at TawHai. If you’re planning to go with kids, make sure they are over 12 years of age and they’re always accompanied by a parent or guardian. You’ll also be asked to sign a waiver prior to boarding the floating bar. Via meainbacolod Customers of the floating bar who wish to take their adventure to the next level and jump over board are permitted to do so, but at their own risk. Via meainbacolod Bringing of own food and drinks is strictly prohibited in the TawHai floating bar. You can reserve selected areas in the attraction, but minimum orders need to be met (which wouldn’t be a problem if you’ll party with the whole gang). In addition, the holding time for reservations is only until 9:30 am. Slots of those who do not come on time will be given to walk-in guests. Via meainbacolod The TawHai floating bar is open every Monday to Thursday from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and every Friday to Sunday from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
Ahhhhhhhhh! That Double edged Sword again, then, who are the Tourists Just Us? and damned expensive if it is not a consumable, Looks nice but I will be giving this a miss 600 peso for a Family day Out with a Food Bill on top, can't see it becoming a success
My friend jack for once i do not agree with you , these people did not rent an old shop give it a coat of paint install some equipment and open a shop or bar so i do not see 200 a head to be expencive. We paid 180p for a car park and a table at the beach the other day, also 200 for the same at a hot pool. This was built from nothing . I think it took large investment and lots of thought and hard work to get this up n running, i myself would be looking for a return on my investment .
There are lots of really nice beach on the West side, I doubt I would go that far to be on a floating bar. I wish them luck though.
Yes. I agree. If I was single and wealthy I could see going by myself or trying to impress some sweet young thang, but its not going to work as a family outing.
I agree with you, in that this is probably not a daily or weekly adventure for the price. But to impress a lady it may be a good entertainment investment, even if it was your wife (or to make up to your wife after you tried to impress another lady). The advantage of being on a floating bar is she can not run away from you... lol. It should also be a little quieter if they were any families there, they may just be sophisticated enough to earn the money to go there, so their kids may be well behavior and not running around like..... (well I wont say it). Let us just say there would be a lot less possibility of having 3 unknown kids running around you screaming and laughing on the floating bar than at Joliebee. Taking the opportunists point of view.... remember there is always the opportunity put the mis-behaved kids outside (by throwing them overboard) that include the date too. .... that could be persuasive action. That is much better than chasing a date down a long sandy beach after a few beers Cost of an adventure does so or sort out the people you will be sitting around... probably no drunks siting around. Also is the bar leaves at 10 AM (I do not understand if you stay the whole time or are ferried back a forth) there will probably only be tourist adventurers enjoying the adventure. I still consider myself a tourist here because I have not seen or experienced it all. This does look like a bucket list type item. Let the investors worry about their ROI, but the reality is if you want to go to a nice place, like Bambulo, Huiz Swim Park, and Mike Dauin Resort, you are going to be pay up 200 P per person. You get privacy, no exhaust pollution (like the boulevard) and usually a place to swim. Actually Bambulo Resort at 70 or 80 P ( I do not remember which) is probably the best deal in that you do not have to rent a cabana like at Huiz, or a higher entrance at Mike's Reality all are different and worth the money. Put them all on your bucket list. I would personally pay the 200 for a once in a life time experience, .... like I said about every going there every week... well I really do not have that many ladies to impress or amends make to the ladies I do know too yet.... lol
