I have an old Compaq CQ56 laptop. Recently it is losing connection to my wifi router every few minutes. As every other phone/ laptop were not experiencing this problem, I concluded that it was the wireless card and confirmed that, as it works perfectly with the rj45 cable connected. I bought a new wireless card but am getting an error message on startup ( the system has detected a wireless module installed in the system that is not a supported task ), even though I had installed the drivers. After searching online with this error message, I have discovered that in the BIOS their is a whitelist of approved wireless cards. If your card is not on there, then the system will not allow you to log on and will not recognise the card. Does anyone know how to solve this problem. Original wireless card Broadcom 4313GN, replacement card Ralink RT5390
