At Why Not Deli, buy two Hungarian sausages, two French rolls, some Gouda cheese, and mustard if you don't have any, and treat yourself to a takeout wine of your choice. At home, slice the sausages the long way, you then have 4 sausages, then grill both sides well done. Slice the French bread the long way then cut both in half. You now have four 4 inch rolls, a perfect fit for the 4 sausages. Place the sausages on the 4 rolls and put 4 slices of Gouda cheese on each roll. I add mustard and relish but you an add onions or whatever rings your taste. I can only eat one of the four, same for the wife. Spicy and good.
Not sure because I bought a bottle of wine and some slices of ham, but the bread and sausages are affordable.
Sounds delicious! Valencia bakery has a nice light rye bread to make some grilled sandwiches, i did ham and swiss cheese, deli mustard. Tasty too
Have a look on the farmers market section of the forum, there are a couple of places there! Or Kev the butcher in sibulan has some excellent ham also.
For the Dumaguete guys Belcris foods was selling Silva brand linguica and if I recall some hot link sausages. I haven't been in there in several months so not sure if they still have them. Either one BBQed with mustard and onions on a french roll is pretty good, especially topped off with a cold beer.
