If you think the "trikes" are a problem, PLEASE read about "tech buses" in san francisco, the looney bin from which i recently escaped. Like trikes, the buses provide inexpensive transport for thousands, although trikes provide more employment. Like trikes, the tech buses represent a significant failure in city administration to actually govern. One HUGE difference is that in San Francisco, ROAD RAGE is the norm, horns are the norm, and traffic does not even flow as well as here (believe it or not, Duma traffic actually flows a lot better than SF.) Here i have almost never come to a grinding halt for more than a couple minutes. Here the traffic problem is concentrated downtown while in SF, the congested area is 10 times as large, covers half the city.

SF is a lot bigger city with lots more going on. In my personal opinion there is nothing in Dumaguete that is worth waiting 5 minutes in stalled traffic for. In San Francisco there may be, I don't know SF at all, not a place I ever wanted to go.
