Six members of Abu sayaf group arrived in Cebu last Friday, October 21, according to an official of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) of Police Regional Office-Central Visayas. Superintendent Julian Entoma, RID-Central Visayas chief, said the bandits led by sub-commander Alhabsi Misaya came in the province to reportedly kidnap "prominent" persons, but they left the province last Sunday, October 23. The police official, however, said they are still monitoring if there are still members of the group in Cebu and other parts of the region. The group might also target commercial establishments like malls and public markets, he said. Entoma told reporters they are coordinating with the Muslim communities, managements of malls, pension houses, lodges, and beach resorts to tighten their security. unless these so called "bandits" go in to a police station and sit down along side the other real bandits, they will be monitored, other than that its just more talk and as you know criminals are not happy when other criminals move in on their patch
MONITORING, this word seems to have a different meaning in the Philippines, if you monitoring some persons you have to know where they are and if you know they are BANDITS as stated why not go ahead and arrest them, shoot them or in some other way neutralize them. Just monitor them until they behead some more unarmed civilians and then what, we cant find them they are hiding in the jungle now....
So all that bitching and moaning they were doing about the US Embassy releasing a travel warning for US citizens was for what?
