Review Thunder Road

Had lunch there today. Self, gf, 2 kids, 2 girls. It's a very pleasant place, room for the kids to run around and a nice little pool - too small for swimming though. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the CR's looked clean - I didn't check the kitchen. There's a small menu - normal bar meal items, well prepared, reasonable prices. The only thing I was not happy about was that they charged P 100 each for the 3 ladies use of the pool, despite the fact that that the food / drinks bill came to P1325. The barmaid called the boss to check and he confirmed the charge (he did waive a P50 each charge for the 2 kids.)

Were there any signs which stated there was a charge for use of the pool. If there were none, I think I would have argued the point with the owner / boss.

 

I didn't see any signs - the barmaid told me about the charges when we arrived and I just assumed that they would follow the normal practice (eg: Bambulo, Mikes Dive Resort) in the area and credit that against the bill.

 

That little pool is in pristine condition. It takes allot of work to keep it that way. You were told the cost so why argue the point after the fact? Seems trivial to me! Also, never take anything granted here in the Phils.
