That name sounds extremely familiar. Did she survive the shooting? I ask because I found a few other articles that said the shooting resulted in her death....but the one linked mentions nothing about it.

There is an American and his Filipino wife by that name that live near Junob.

Also, the end of that article.....
So he was arrested, held in jail for awhile and then released because someone merely wanted him detained and deported? Did he even break the laws that he was arrested for? Sounds like the charges could be complete BS. And now the police are trying to get the guy deported even though he has not been convicted of any crime. It is a bit more difficult to deport someone than that. Unless these locals are well connected I think it would be unlikely that this guy gets deported. I bet there is much more to that story than what's being said.

There was a bit more to the story than it states here as a Brit warden was called to the police stn to deal with it.

From SunStar "Meanwhile, the acting alien control officer in Dumaguete has advised the warden of British nationals in Negros Oriental to assist and secure one of their nationals against possible harm to himself or to others. Peter Bueno was furnished a copy of several police reports where British national Jamshaed Shariff was allegedly victimizing a number of business establishments here by not paying for food and drinks he ordered. At one time, Shariff was involved in an alarm and scandal incident inside a pension house, but was released after the reglamenary period of detention. He told the British Embassy warden Roger Stanley to secure Shariff before anything happens. Bueno believes the British national has a mental condition or is mentally disturbed. (PNA)"

Roger and I have no control over British nationals what so ever,it's not up to us to detain them or take them in,it's the bi or pnp's job to sort that out! We can only advise.

I'm pretty sure they can deny entry/deport people for being an "idiot".
